Hurricane Florence: Monster storm, heavy rains, flooding in US East Coast

National Hurricane Centre of US in its latest advisory has stated that Hurricane Florence is all set to bring heavy storm surge and heavy rains in various parts of Carolinas and other mid-Atlantic states.

The storm centre will hit the Carolina coast within 1-2 days. Florence which is still about 625 miles southeast of Cape Fear in North Carolina is said to have winds of 140mph and is thus labelled as an extremely dangerous hurricane as it approaches the coast of US.

Hurricance Florence is designated as a Category 4 hurricane and will hit East Coast of US this week. It will cause heavy rains and high speed winds. The storm can also cause flooding along the Texas coast as latter had already received heavy rains due to Tropical Storm Gordon which had picked moisture from the Gulf of Mexico.
