The tallest leader of the ruling Bharatiya Janta Party of India and former PM Atal Behari Vajpayee has passed away at the age of 93.
He was undergoing treatment at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi and was said to be in a critical condition since morning. Condolences and grief messages have been expressed by many leaders including the President and Prime Minister of India.
His body will be taken to the BJP office tomorrow where public can pay homage to him, after which he will be cremated at Ekta Sthal. The gun carriage for carrying the mortal remains of the leader is all set as has been confirmed by the Army.
He was a leader of the hearts and had done a lot to build the ruling party BJP as of today. It was his struggles and perseverance which helped BJP reach the present stature and was able to resonate with the heart of every Indian.
He was put on life support system in last 36 hours but despite the best efforts of the team of doctors, his condition sank further leading to the great loss for the entire nation.
