Costa Rica Presidential Elections: Centre-left emerges victorious

Carlos Alvarado Quesada the Centre-left candidate has won a decisive victory in the Costa Rica Presidential elections on his dedicated fight on gay rights thereby promoting the nation as a tolerant society. Quesada is a former minister and has bagged 61 percent votes which is seen as a terrific victory as it is much larger than the predictions.

Quesada in his victory speech stated that the nation has far more factors which unite the people than the ones who seek to divide the society. Also, he committed to the people a much more prosperous future where he will ensure the government is for all and will focus on promoting equality and liberty.

His closest opponent Alvarado Munoz who is a TV journalist and is known for his religious dances accepted the defeat and congratulated Carlos Quesada over a telephonic call and also ensured his support to the government for solving all the problems of the nation.

Carlos Alvarado Quesada who is 38 will be the youngest President in the modern history of the Central American nation. He will formally take office in May. Epsy Campbell who will take charge as the Vice President will be the first Afro-Costa Rican to be in that role.
