Margot Wallstrom the Foreign Minister of Sweden has denied the Russian claims about the origin of nerve agent to be Sweden. Wallstrom stated that the Russian statement is completely baseless and unacceptable. Earlier in the day, a spokeswoman of Russian foreign ministry Maria Zakharova had said on Rossiya 24 TV that the origin of the nerve agent used to attack Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia at Salisbury could be Britain, Slovakia, Czech Republic, US or Sweden.
Wallstrom has strongly rejected the bold Russian statement and has advised it to answer the UK instead of passing the blame.
Czech Foreign Minister Martin Stropnicky has firmly rejected the Russian claim was completely unsubstantiated and highly speculative. Stropnicky said that Russians were manipulating information in public space without any substantial proof.
