39 people have been confirmed dead in a tragic crash of US-Bangla Airlines plane at the Tribhuvan International Airport at Kathmandu, Nepal. The plane twisted off the runway during landing and finally crashed into a football ground near the Airport.
31 people died on the spot while 8 others died in the hospital. 23 people are under treatment in the city hospitals. 33 passengers were from Nepal, 37 male, 27 female and 2 minors. The aircraft had taken off from Dhaka in the afternoon for Kathmandu in the morning. The plane as seen in the reported pictures is flipped upside down and very badly burnt.
Fire-fighters and rescue workers have responded to the crash trying to put out the flames as the dark smoke enveloped the sky.
